The anodic oxidation of aluminium is an electrochemical process by which an oxide layer is formed on the treated surface which has the function of protecting it from atmospheric agents and corrosion, preventing oxygen contact with the metal.
The thickness of the oxide layer can be predetermined during the electrolytic processing, and according to the needs of the use of the treated surface, it can be increased or decreased to regulate the level of protection.
Anodized aluminium , thanks to its properties of durability, strength, lightness, malleability and electrical conductivity, is used in many industrial sectors: furniture, transport, boating, window and door construction, construction building.

DEPARTMENT SPECIALIZED IN ANODIC OXIDATION OF ALUMINUM
Ossidal’s Anodic Oxidation Department includes mechanical satin finishing, brushing, polishing and micro sand blasting, particularly suitable for finishes that require a high quality standard.
Ossidal also offers classical chemical treatments, such as chemical satin finish, anodizing and colouring, such as satin finishing, anodizing, coloring and electro-coloring, carried out on the basis of UNI-EN-ISO7599 standard and the Qualanod® specifications® licensed nr.757.
The treatment tanks allow the oxidation of extruded up to 9 meters. The production capacity allows to handle more than 40 tons of extruded aluminium daily.
The different types of satin finishing, combined with innumerable shades of silver, bronze, gold, electro-colour and black, offer the possibility to satisfy and realize all the finishing needed on aluminium.
